Accommodation options
Furnished apartments:
If you want a maximum of privacy, independence and comfort, renting your own apartment is the choice. This requires a certain responsibility and is slightly more formal, because you need to close a contract and pay a guarantee.
The monthly rent depends on the standard of the apartment and on the district. This option requires a minimum stay of one month, but we can also offer alternatives for single weeks.
Peruvian family:
This option is the perfect option if you are looking for contact to the local people and really want to know Peruvian culture and everyday live in Peru. Accommodation in a guest family is cheaper than to rent your own apartment. You can practice your Spanish the whole time and last but not least try the tasty Peruvian food every day.
This accommodation option always includes free use of the kitchen and of all common space in the house (living, terrace, garden etc.). Depending on previous agreements you can also use telephone, internet and washing machine, so you can really feel at home.
Student dorm:
If you are searching for a cheap accommodation option and want to live together with other people from all over the world in a friendly and international atmosphere, then this is your choice. Student dorms are safe places, always including access to internet, kitchen, washing machine, telephone etc.
How to rent:
For your own apartment you pay a monthly rent directly to the landlord. You also pay a monthly fixed amount for running costs and for water, electricity and telephone.
For a room in an apartment
you pay the rent in the beginning of every month directly to the main tenant or owner of the apartment. Usually there’s no deposit required. Rented room are furnished and for the use of one single person. According to further agreements though, it’s also possible to rent a double room, which can imply higher renting costs.
The rent includes water, electricity, gas, telephone (local calls, according to agreements), free use of common spaces in the house, private or shared bathroom, washing machine and internet (according to agreements). |
